classic hollywood

Did the Oscars last night put you in the mood for some classic Hollywood glam? If so I suggest checking out these Ziegfeld Girl vintage paper dolls.

(Ziegfeld Girl paper doll book, originally published in 1941)

From the personal collection of Teri Pettit, these free high resolution files are just waiting for you to download, print and walk the red carpet.

Some of my other favorites from her collection include Betsy McCall and Sixteen. Happy printing!

sweater love

See that sweater on the left? I picked it up a few weeks ago from Charlotte Russe and I have a huge clothing crush on it.

(lovely lovelies by Charlotte Russe)

While wearing it the other day I couldn't resist taking a picture —I just had to share it with you. I matched it up with a yellow lace camisole from here, a pair of jeans and these happy shoes.

Above are some other tops that I wouldn't mind finding in my closet. #1 is my favorite.

1. Ivory Ribbed Pointelle Sweater
2. Peacock Pointelle Knit Top
3. Red Cropped Tie Cardigan
4. Charcoal Pointelle Knit Top
... and if you love red and white stripes be sure to take a look at this top too. :)

etsy seller — cutiepie company

What is sending my heart all a flutter these days? Ledger, graph, index cards ... I love seeing designs printed directly onto these papers—what a fun canvas. Plus there is the extra bonus of upcycling too. :)

(buttercup in pink, set of 8 screenprinted notes by Cutiepie Company)

Cutiepie Company is totally rockin' this idea. Her use of turn-of-the century botanicals prints, original illustrations and other found objects is so fresh and fun. Be sure to check out here shop to see tons of other amazing goodies for yourself.

(svelte woodgrain gift tags, set of 8 by Cutiepie Company)

My husband is a carpenter so I could not resist including these woodgrain gift tags. After reading this post he will probably inform me on what type of wood it is. Sigh, what a nerd.

This weekend my tea towels were featured in Etsy's blog the Storque! I am so flattered to have been included in this article amongst so many other designers I admire.

woven heart

Have you ever attended one of Etsy's online craft nights? They always have such fun projects that are both quick and easy. Last week we learned how to make these woven paper hearts.

(look what I made!)

My husband was no doubt amazed by my craftiness. Actually he was baffled by how the two sides hooked together to form a pocket without any tape or glue. I found this video tutorial online so get out your paper and scissors.

Happy Valentines day!

P.S. Are you in a bit of a pickle because valentines is tomorrow? Don't sweat it! Check out the printable valentine notes/mini book in my shop— I can send them to you via email before tomorrow. :)

thanks for the tip

I found out about these mini frames from Chelsea of Paper Cakes yesterday after she uploaded these pink ones to her flickr account.

They are currently for sale in the dollar section at Michaels. A great dollar find don't ya think? I did ... and so these three followed me home.

When I stopped by yesterday they were pretty picked over so if you are interested you better hurry.

I’ve had just about enough …

1. Vintage Mustard Yellow Luggage by My Secret Closet
2. Cobalt Blue Suitcase with Mod Ruffled Interior by Jess James Jake

3. Three Piece Lady Baltimore Coral Orange Luggage by Stiletto Girl
4. Vintage Leather Yellow Suitcase or Briefcase by Heirloom Market

Lets face it—how could I ignore such a delightful thrift store find.

dots & doilies

I have a bad habit. Weeks go by without me listing new items in my shop and then I list a ton of things right in a row. Oh well ... here is a new set of printable notes that can be cut apart and used separately or folded to create a mini book.

This one is themed around polka dots and doilies.

orla kiely @ target

Excited for all the new Orla Kiely lovelies available at Target starting February 15th? Now you can watch this video clip to meet the designer herself.

Hmm ... I could use a new apron. Then again, to justify buying it my husband would probably expect me to cook more. I'll have to think about it. :)
