pretty picnic packaging

My Better Homes and Gardens magazine came in the mail yesterday. I instantly fell in love with the sweet little yellow melamine tiffin box that was featured as one of the "things to do this month." Sadly, it's no longer available for purchase at Crate and Barrel, sniff sniff, and I could not find it anywhere else online. If by chance you happen upon it please leave a note in the comments section.

But don't worry, while searching I did find a wonderful selection of these stackable containers that may tickle your fancy. I also thought you would enjoy these ... well ... lunchboxes that caught my eye during the hunt for the illusive yellow tiffin.

1. Vivo Oval Bento Box, Amazon.com— also available in other lovely shapes and color like this, this or this.
2. Hostess Cupcake Lunchbox, Jessica's Bizarre Gifts via Amazon.com

3. Classic Plaid Lunchbox, Target
4. Pirate Dome Lunchbox, Archie McPhee

So enjoy a picnic in style or use these fancy containers to hold other types of goodies like art or sewing supplies. My gocco paints are aching to live inside #3. :)

Hi, I work at BHG and we worked with C&B to feature the tiffin box. They sold out so quickly (and they didn't expect to), but there are some still in stores. Do you live near a C&B in your area? If so, please contact me, and I can provide a list of stores that still have the lunchboxes.
