Very sweet. I am very tempted to make one and hang it above my sons crib. A big thanks to Spool for generously sharing such lovely design.

Oh how I love whipup ... there are so many clever ideas gathered together and posted on this wonderful blog daily. While browsing their mammoth list of festive tutorials, I quickly fell in love with this idea from Spool.

confession
Ok ... I admit it ... I am one of those girls who loved reading Twilight and was tremendously excited to see the movie. Although I did not go to the first midnight showing last Friday I did go the next day.

Anyone else out there seen it yet? If not you may want to skip over this last part. To be honest with you I have mixed feelings about how it turned out ... although I did find the part where Alice rips James head off to be down right hilarious. :)

etsy shop update: new print — home sweet home
There is a new gocco print available in my shop. This design has been ready to print for some time but it was put off because I became a little distracted with printing on fabric.

This print was inspired by sewing samplers that commonly featured the phrase "home sweet home."
• Open edition gocco print.
• Paper size:5x7in, image size approximately 2.25x5.5in.
Come visit me again next week when I will be posting another new print and spilling the beans about my weekend adventure.

spring cleaning in november
I’m in the mood to sort through and throw stuff out. Just yesterday I organized my bedroom closet.
I wish my closet looked this lovely with coordinating hangers and fancy storage compartments… but at least mine is organized and now has less crap in it than before.
I need to get rid of some clutter but I also wanted my closet to be a more comfy home for these pretty little plum shoes.

On sale now at Target. There was no way I could pass them up.

Wednesday Was Flippin’ Awesome
Here are three reasons why I was on cloud 9 yesterday:

1. While I was at Ikea with my mom and little sis I spotted this super cute piggy bank for my son.
2. I took a trip to the post office and sent off another Etsy order. Yippee!
3. My octopus print was featured in “Seller How-To: Packaging Ideas,” an Etsy Storque article written by the marvelous Danielle.
Here’s to anther flippin’ awesome day :)

Jack Frost = Coat Shopping
Did you hear about the 50% off sale on outerwear at Old Navy? Well, I did … and since my son needed a new coat there was no chance I was going to pass up the opportunity to save a good chunk of change. My husband and I went online the night before the sale to scout out our choices. We are particularly fond of this one.
While I do not need a new coat for myself I could not help showing you some of my favorites that I saw while I was out. For dramatic effect I also included a pair of gloves and scarf that I thought would go quite lovely with either :)

1. Icy Orchid Women’s Popcorn-Knit Scarf
2. Siberian Blue Women’s Pique Wool-Blend Coat
3. Women’s Wool-Blend Coat, Star Anise Brown
4. Pink Stripe Women’s Cashmere Gloves
By the time I arrived at the store the next day (20 minutes after they opened) they only had one left in his size.

Knock On Wood
I have been on a big log decor kick lately. Perhaps it has something to do with wishing I could spend more time outdoors. Stupid cold weather ... blast. Anyways ... I could not resist sharing some of my Etsy log favorites.

1. Springtime Faux Bois Magnets, set of 5 by Jessica Jane
2. Birch Screen Printed Wool Log Pillow by My Imaginary Boyfriend
3. 3 Piece Log Candle Set by Kerry's Candles
Just in case you missed out ... Martha's craft of the day today is simply adorable. Although it's a toadstool the base is made from a log so I think it still relates to todays post :)
