Etsy Seller—Oh So Smitten

I was introduced to Oh So Smitten while entering Etsy's Handmade Kids Sweepstakes. Congrats Oh So Smitten!

(Robot Gang by Oh So Smitten,
finalist in Ety's Handmade Kids Art category)

I have a soft spot for these lovable chunks of metal—each with their own unique personality. This shop comes complete with a great selection of flippin' sweet prints and fresh illustration style.

So ... are you a member of Etsy? If so you are in luck—you have until September 8th to enter so don't delay. If you are not a member yet there is no need to feel down. You can learn more about your free membership here.

Go Green With Old Navy

I just had to show you these eco-friendly t-shirt designs from Old Navy. Lets give them a "hip hip hooray" for promoting an important and positive message.

By the way ... the "save the Earth" one is my favorite :)

On My Wish List

Lately I have been experimenting with stamp carving and I am really excited with the results. I would love to not only print on paper but also fabric as well ... perhaps create my own line of teatowels or something.

Here are two books relating to this topic that I would love to get my hands on.

Free Notebook Labels

Here are some fancy notebook labels brought to you by Martha Stewart—I simply adore these illustrations. If only I was still in school and could use them ... well at least the super smart one still applies to me ;) Actually, to be honest not all of these are directly school related so it looks like I am in luck.

Below are some of my favorites.

There are quite a few to choose from so skedaddle on over to her site to collect them all.

Have you seen me?

Were you wondering what happened to the little "woof" image in the top right corner of my blog?

Daniellexo over at Etsy was sweet enough to give me some great tips for my shop ... one of which was switching my avatar. She felt (and I agree) that my avatar was not representing the items available in my shop. Because avatars are used to represent you when in forums, labs, flickr, blogs, etc. it is very important that it has the ability to peak ones interest and actually convince them to see what you have to offer.

Now I use one of my prints as my face on the web.

... so it's out with the old and in with the new ;)

Is It Just Me?

Here is my question: Is it just me or does it look like this tree is wearing one of those Hawaiian grass skirts?

(One of the many tall pine trees surrounding our campsite.)

Maybe this will help.

I'm back from a relaxing weekend enjoying Utah's gorgeous mountains. It was great to get away from everyday chores, bills, etc. and spend time with my family. I hope you had a super weekend too! ... now back to work :)

Etsy Seller—Eternal Sunshine

My little family and I are going camping—oh, how I can't wait for dutch oven cooking and ever so gooey smores. Yum!

(Frowny Smore by Eternal Sunshine)

When I saw this sad fellow at Eternal Sunshine's shop I could not help but crack up. However, its big frown does makes me a little hesitant about chomping down on such a helpless innocent thing. Oh, who am I kidding? "You poor little smore ... you don't stand a chance against me!" (Insert cynical laugh here.)

(Little Crochet Clementine by Eternal Sunshine)

There are plenty of small creations waiting to greet you at this Etsy shop ... and most are a bit more jolly than this poor guy. What I love about Eternal Sunshine is that you can buy them already made (an excellent choice for me because I am all thumbs in that area) or order the pattern and make it yourself. Brilliant!

You can also visit her other shop, Soft Illusions, which offers fingerless gloves, cuffs, mittens, hats, scarves, and other accessories.

As you can probably guess I will not have internet access while I am away. So ... this is farewell until next Monday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Etsy Seller—Brookerpie

I was once again traveling through the Etsy time machine and came across Brookerpie's listing for this yummy purple paper lace.

(available in several fancy schmancy colors)

This is not the first time I had seen Brooke's work. I'm sure I saw her featured on Decor8 or Design*Sponge but I cant put my finger on it. Anyways ... I clicked over to her Etsy shop and ta da ... these cute little fabric rings immediately caught my eye.

Wow, Brookerpie! What a great eye for fabric. I also love the extra bling she has added on some of these.

So, which one is my favorite? I was hoping you weren't going to ask me that. I honestly cannot choose ... I heart all of them :)

Free Download by Creature Comforts

Ez over at Creature Comforts has been sweet enough to design these free printables for your downloading enjoyment.

Think library cards are just for books? Nope. Ez suggests using them for love notes, gift tags, seating cards and more. Simply perfect suggestions.

Thanks Ez! Your blog is a delight and these are too.

Slave Over The Stove With Style

I don't usually wear an apron while cooking ... probably because I'm already covered in baby slobber and I figure whats the difference. Perhaps that would change if I was luck enough to own one of these beauties from Anthropologie.

(left to right: Lime Tree Festival, Stockholm Floral, Lucky Ladybugs)

Not only do they have an impressive selection, but they are all so gorgeous as well. Half aprons and children's aprons as are also available.

Wipe the drool off your keyboard and have a look for yourself :)
